Style and Strength - a series

Can a woman take on repression and still look incredibly elegant? Absolutely.

Lavender is not a colour I would typically go for - but Aung San Suu Kyi looks ravishing. What will she wear when she takes her seat in parliament?

Perhaps a sombre blue ...

worn distinctly by a woman who understands the fine art of mixing prints.

Will she stay true to her culture while appearing perfectly modern and elegant,

and continue to illustrate the critical role proportion plays in delivering effortless style?

Or maybe she'll sport an optimistic sea green because this is, of course, the start of a new era.

I'm anxious to see the marvelous Michelle Yeoh portray Aung San Suu Kyi in Luc Besson's The Lady.

She is 66 years young and tackling a new job. I wonder what I'll be up to when I'm 66?

  1. What a great start to a promising new series? Inspiring! And I had no idea there was a forthcoming Luc Besson film on The Lady. I look forward to it and to more posts in your series. . .
